Daisies Cut

When cutting a lawn I like to leave as much flora uncut as possible. To stop the lawn looking like a desert, monoculture of grass, I like to cut shapes or leave areas uncut where flowers are on show. Leaving areas uncut also gives species like self heal, clover and birdsfoot trefoil to make an appearance. This looks great and is also beneficial to many different insects, bees and butterflies. Even if you have a small lawn, making habitat for wildlife is achievable.
